I found a sturdy pencil box for my sketching pencils. <3 Nature!

Gradient

I picked up drawing/sketching again because I got inspired from some talented friends. I'm a newb but once I feel more confident maybe I'll post some up (:
Odwalla
The Hong Kong Student Society at UCLA has a night market event that mimics the street vendors at night in Hong Kong. Unfortunately I had work, but fortunately I have awesome friends that snuck in food for me!
2 For Novel

Monday nights a few of us are temporarily homeless due to the multiple Bible Studies and fellowship meetings our apartment mates host at our respective apartments. We ended up eating and studying at Novel Cafe in Westwood until we could return to have our own meeting of the sort.
Hot Air

I don't know if I ever shared what my room looks like. Well this is a small part of it. It's our quaint television that does not have cable (because we don't want to pay 80 dollars for TV!). But we do have a DVD player and a VGA cable! (:
Hi De Ho
Every year UCLA holds the Los Angeles Festival of Books. It was so crowded on campus with loads of babies and puppies!
Second Try
I made use of the hugemongous bag of frozen berries and made a cobbler. The recipe is from Williams-Sonoma so you know it's delicious! Top it off with vanilla ice cream and it's over (:
Windex

These friends have been visiting me often at work. It makes time go by faster (:
P.s. The reason why it's so blurry/foggy is because they are behind a bullet-proof (supposedly) glass that separates the cashier window and the public.
Latin Expert
There's this little boy that constantly wanders in to our room to play on the keyboard while we're studying. And he's supposed to be studying too.
Eighty Five Degrees

My apartmentmate brought home some Tiramisu from a Chinese bakery in Irvine, California. How nice of her to remember (one of) my favorite dessert(s)!
Fork Tines

I made some mini pies but I did not add enough sugar so they did not taste as well as I'd like. That's what happens when I try to be healthy! :( But the crust tastes awesome (:
Side Track
On the way home to LA I asked Mr. Dino if we could stop at one of the many many many beaches along the 101 Freeway. We found a small place called Summerland and it was something out of a storybook. Again, the only Asians there. Haha.
Daily Specials

Mr. Dino and I visited a friend in San Luis Obispo and he took us to a old school deli. It was very cute and small but very crowded. I think we were the only Asians there. Hm.
Ultimate Fireball

We are so tired. But I thought this was a cool shot because it's from a top view. Pretty simple but I like simple...
Frequent Fliers

I was telling my friends how Volcano Tea should just give me some executive members card because I give them so much money. It's a horrible horrible addiction really. But it's so delicious.
Late Lunch
There's a deal at North Campus Center where you can buy a cup of soup and a small bowl from the salad bar for 6.29. I filled that baby up with strawberries!
Free Toothbrush
So this is supposed to be a new one-time-use, no water, no rinsing, on-the-go toothbrush.
It was an interesting experience.
Light It Up
The lighting at Chabuya ramen shop (Sawtelle Blvd., Los Angeles).
I always appreciate the shops at Sawtelle Blvd because they remind me of my childhood in Japan. I remember there was a restaurant in the Naval Base that served ramen which I ordered everytime my family and I went there to eat. Ramen noodles are the best.
Aluminum Foil is Best Friend
![]()
This was a random lunch I made for Mr. Dino and I. It's Milkis drinks with a meatball bake from costco and leek dumplings. I used aluminum foil to keep the drinks cool and the bake warm. YAY!
On Sale
Mr. Dino found New York strips on sale so we had ourselves a nice steak dinner for under 14 bucks (:
Happy Easter Egg
This was a cupcake made by one of Mr. Dino's students at his new job. I didn't eat it cause it melted in the car but it sure looks pretty!
Still Sick
I'm still sick so I'm not doing much anymore. I think a lot of madness has died down so I'm just being a homebody trying to get better. But this is a recently new friend. It's a Relax Bear and it's the new case for my camera. Super cute, right?
